Paper Pumpkin October 2016

Fall is totally full blown over here with all the rain. So it has been so hard to get some good pictures of my creations!

I had a lot of fun with Paper Pumpkin for October 2016 and this is what I came up with:

This card is actually a shaker card, but its hard to see the sequins when the card stands up!

Hope you liked them!

Hello Fall

I was having fun with watercolors, (why not!) and brainstorming for thanksgiving cards, and this is what I came up with.

I love the contrast where the wet color touched the dry color; really neat. Plus being messy is fun!

Then I added a little gold thread for some bling and called it done! Hope you like it and have a great day!

Last Minute Halloween

I have a couple more last minute Halloween cards to share with you before I begrudgingly admit that October is over.

This one is really simple, but it highlights the candy corn very well from the Jar of Haunts stamp set. it took me a while to stamp them and then color them in, but it was worth it! SO cute!

This one looks a lot like my post from a couple days ago, but a little more typical Halloween colors.

I really like how this one turned out! I wanted to make a card that showed off more of the Wisteria Wonder color, and I think it looks good. Simple, but good.

Alright, I guess Halloween is over. Fine.

Now onto Thanksgiving and Fall cards! Woohoo!

Pumpkin Fun

I really got into the Jar of Haunts pumpkin and I made two cute cards:

I used the blender pens to shade in the pumpkin. I think it adds dimension and interest. I added the little spider for a bit of spook! I think, depending on the sentiment, either one could be Halloween, Thanksgiving, or a Fall card. Hope you like them. Enjoy your last couple days of October!

Halloween Washi

I really like the Halloween Themed washi tape that Stampin' Up came out with this year! Especially the shiny bats! This is a really simple card and I used the stamps from the September Paper Pumpkin kit too!

Hope you like it!

Graveyard

The countdown to Halloween continues! Here is another card I made using the Spooky Fun set. I really wanted to come up with something that used the ghosts and gravestones. I think it turned out pretty cute.

I used the embossing folder just on the top to make it a night sky. Hope you like it!

WWYS #85 Challenge Spooky Fun

I love the Spooky Fun stamp set by Stampin' Up and I have made a bunch of cards with it. So of course I had to enter this week's What Would You Stamp Challenge #85.

This is actually one of my favorites! Simple and cute.

Cross your fingers for me and have a great day!

Paper Pumpkin September 2016

The Paper Pumpkin journey continues!

This kit was getting you ready for fall and halloween so of course I was super excited to open it! The original plan is to make little candy tube with tags. Cute idea, but I was not thrilled with the tags as most of it was already printed. There was very little stamping options.

Now let me tell you what I love ... the pumpkin stamp! It is so cute!! It is a layering stamp so it takes a couple stamps to make one pumpkin, but I'm in love. I think the the whole box is worth it just for the little pumpkin!

Anyway, this is what I came up with:

Apparently I had a theme going! I hope you like the cards and have a great day!

WWYS #84 Ghoulish Grunge

I really, really love the new stamp set Ghoulish Grunge and it is the basis for the What Would You Stamp Challenge #84.

It is very versatile and can be used as a really good background stamp. Here is what I came up with (Halloween themed, of course).

Hubby said this was his favorite :) Hope they do too at the challenge!

Trick or Treat - PP #315 Challenge

The challenge today is from The Paper Players #315. Here is the sketch:

This is a theme challenge. Since Halloween is the best theme, I had to submit! So, I came up with this fun card. The washi tape from Stampin' Up is so cute this year so I made it stand out in this card.

The bats are not upside down, they are just flying that direction :P

Hope you enjoy and are getting in the spooky spirit like me!

Watercolor is so fun! It's not just for kids anymore. I made a couple cards when I got on this watercolor kick, but I am just going to show you one for now (this one is my favorite).

I love this card so much and I had a great time making it! I hope you like it too!

Happy Birthday Sunshine

I've used this set a couple times because I just can't get enough of the Sunshine Sayings bundle! I also really like how this color combination turned out. Not too bright. I used the Versamark ink for the background design. Enjoy!

Paper Pumpkin June 2016

Whew! I'm finally getting this post out! I actually had a lot of fun doing this project (while re-watching all the Star Wars movies!).

Here is the original project plan:

But, I wanted to make it my own ... so here's what I came up with:

Cute, right? I had a lot of fun with this months Project Pumpkin. I love the stripes especially. Plus anything with sparkly sequins is always fun in my book!

Have a great day!

TGIF Challenge #73

This challenge is really cool! I love using negative space to enhance a card. Here is the challenge graphic for TGIF this week:

You can check out the challenge at TGIF. The cards their team came up with are super cute!!

Here is my submission. I thought it turned out pretty cute even though it is really simple.

I really love how the gold washi tape looks like behind the "happy". I think I got a pretty good picture of it too! Hope you like it and have a great day!

CYCI Challenge #138

My first challenge! I came across this challenge from Can You Case It?

They do a challenge every Sunday.

This came at a perfect time since I finally started catching up on some projects including my Paper Pumpkin subscription boxes (I still have a few to do!) So, this post is also a sneak peek of the June 2016 Paper Pumkin post!

Here it is!

As usual I did not follow the original design that came with the Paper Pumpkin subscription. I made it my own, a la me!

I hope you like it!

Congrats/Love

I love the Sunshine Sayings Bundle from Stampin' Up and I couldn't wait to try it out!

I absolutely adore it when they come out with die cuts that are whole words. It really makes the card pop when you can add 3D elements, especially when they are the words.

I wanted to keep it simple so I just used a couple colors. Then I cut my dimensionals down really small to fit behind the words.

Just for You

I made this card for a competition at the Stampin' Up Extravaganza. I did not win, but I had fun with it anyway. Plus all the cards were donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charity at the end.

I really had fun with the watercolor paper. Makes me feel like a kid again! I hope you like it!

For Being You

I am rediscovering my love for Versamark Ink. It really adds a lot to a card without overwhelming it. So simple and classy!

This card I made for a co-worker and she really liked it! Sometimes you make the best cards by sticking to basic colors.
